The street artist Banksy returned to Los Angeles this past week, and I set out to see his work before it could be removed or defaced. Sadly, I didn’t make it in enough time for all of the pieces. Watch the amazing documentary Exit Through the Gift Shop to learn more about Los Angeles’ experience of Banksy and several other important street artists.

Adrift in abandonment. What’s so remarkable about this photo, at least to me, is how appropriately anxious the bear’s expression is, in its location. It’s almost as though the bear is reacting.
